Terms of Use

Welcome to SpendMunk. By downloading, installing, or using the SpendMunk mobile application ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.
1. Description of Service
SpendMunk is a personal budget planning application that helps you track daily spending, organize money into pockets, set savings goals, and gain insights into your financial habits.
SpendMunk is not a financial advisor. The App provides budgeting tools and informational features only. It does not offer financial advice, investment recommendations, or professional financial planning services. Any financial decisions you make are your own responsibility.
2. Accounts
You may use SpendMunk as a guest without creating an account. Guest data is stored locally on your device only.
You may optionally create an account using Google Sign-In, Apple Sign-In, or email to access features like cloud backup. If you create an account, you are responsible for maintaining the security of your sign-in credentials. You agree to notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account.
3. Subscriptions and Payments
SpendMunk offers a free tier with core budgeting features and a Premium subscription that unlocks additional features.
- Pricing: Premium subscription pricing is displayed within the App in your local currency. Prices are approximate and converted from our base reference price using daily exchange rates.
- Billing: Subscriptions are processed and billed through Google Play (Android) or the Apple App Store (iOS). By subscribing, you agree to the billing terms of the respective app store.
- Auto-renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period (monthly or annually) unless you cancel before the renewal date.
- Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through Google Play or the Apple App Store. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain Premium access until then.
- Refunds: Refund requests are handled by the respective app store according to their refund policies. SpendMunk does not process refunds directly.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to SpendMunk's systems, servers, or other users' data
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to extract the source code of the App
- Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality or the servers and networks connected to it
- Use automated means (bots, scrapers, etc.) to access or interact with the App
5. Intellectual Property
All content, design, graphics, code, and trademarks associated with SpendMunk are owned by SpendMunk and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on SpendMunk without our prior written consent.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
SpendMunk is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to:
- That the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
- That budget calculations, forecasts, or insights will be accurate or complete
- That the App will meet your specific requirements
You use SpendMunk at your own risk.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SpendMunk and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from:
- Your use of or inability to use the App
- Any financial decisions you make based on the App's data, suggestions, forecasts, or calculations
- Loss of data, including budget data stored locally or in the cloud
- Unauthorized access to your account or data
8. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to SpendMunk at any time if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that we determine to be harmful to the App or its users. You may stop using SpendMunk at any time by uninstalling the App and, if applicable, deleting your account.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will post the revised Terms on this page and update the "Effective date" at the top. Your continued use of SpendMunk after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
10. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
